Legian Bali on Seminyak Beach, Indonesia, reopens after renovations

General Hotel Management completed Legian Bali’s four-month refurbishments. With contributions from its guest feedback folder, the 68-room property reopened to reveal an over 98-foot infinity lap pool and beachfront sun deck, freshly landscaped gardens, improved lighting in half of its guestrooms and upgraded views of the Indian Ocean from its private, three-bedroom Beach House.

In the first of two stages of renovations, workers took tools to half of the Legian's guestrooms. They fixed the plumbing for better temperature control, recalibrated the air circulation system in the bedroom, and installed new lighting possibilities on the terrace.

The resort's exclusive Beach House was the recipient of an over 215 square-foot terrace with sunbeds, accessible from the master bedroom, which was itself rearranged for better ocean views.

More windows were created to allow Bali's tropical rays into the guest rooms and bathrooms, while the living room was opened up with two walls of transparent folding doors to give guests 180-degree views.

The new adult infinity pool was built from the ground up closer to the shoreline than the resort's other two pools, to give guests proximity to the Seminyak Beach. Facing southwest, the deck space now fronting the resort's Ocean Bar delivers sunset views. As part of the upgrades, the wall separating the Ocean Bar from the pool area was torn down to offer barflies a greater sense of space within eyesight of the beach and the children's pool.

The resort also took the four-month hiatus as an opportunity to re-landscape its north gardens, redo its entranceway water ponds, and makeover the stone pathways and corridors in room blocks C and D.
